Our final road trip of the year took us north to the Santa Ynez Mountains above Santa Barbara to a
location known as Knapp's Castle. It's not really a castle, but the ruins of a mansion the burned down in
1940. It was a carefully orchestrated event in which we were joined by cosplayers from Fresno and
Arizona. The trip took us up narrow mountain roads and took us longer than expected. We arrived fairly
late in the afternoon so we had to rush to get our photos done. Personally, I didn't get many
photoshoots completed. I only had time to complete a session with cosplayer Ming. I hope that these
photos adequately capture the beauty of this location. Even though it was a real pain to reach this
location, it was worth the trip and I would definitely like to visit here again.
