NANA Day Music

Probably the biggest reason I came out to NANA Day was for the music program.  Anytime that I can
photograph a singer or a band in action, I always treat it as a learning experience.  It doesn't matter if it's
a mojor label recording act in an LA club or theater or if it's a local act at this Little Tokyo stage.  My
goal is always to make them look like stars.  The day's music program started with a perfomance by
Stephanie Yanez.  I think the first time I ever shot one of Stephanie's shows was Pacific Media Expo in
2005.  Since then, I've photographed so many of her shows, I lost count.  She was followed by the Awa
Odori, who stopped by to promote their performance in the Nisei Week Parade.
