This photoshoot was a unique event for me.  It was the first time for me to hit the road and travel out of the Los Angeles
area to take cosplay photos outside of an anime convention or cosplay event.  For me, it was the start of the era of the
cosplay road trip.  Lately, I've been frustrated by the locations that most conventions in the Los Angeles area choose for
their locations, which are usually cramped and not very pretty.  It was a fun idea to assemble of group of photographers
and cosplayers and go take photos in some random, but very picturesque location.  On this day, we travelled out to the
Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum in Vista, near San Diego.  This museum had a large area in the back with a lot of
old, broken down tractors, trucks, and farm equipment.  There was also a large field filled with grasses and a few large
rocks.  These were the shooting conditions that I really love.  Having all of that room gives me a lot of flexibility.  With the
exception of Mikomicon, no convention in the LA area has the elbow room that I prefer to have.  This was just the first of
several cosplay road trips that I would be involved in during the last quarter of 2008.  This was the shape of things to
come.
