Anime Los Angeles is the first convention of the year.  After getting through the holidays, it's nice to be back at a convention.
It's the seventh year for this convention, and I've been to every single one of them.  I go to so many conventions during the
year with a press badge and I'm running around covering various stories.  Anime LA was the only convention that I went to
where I didn't have a press badge.  Therefore, I'm free to create my own schedule and do whatever I want for 100% of the time.
This convention has always been more of a social convention anyway.  People come here to relax and save the heavier work
for the bigger conventions that are ahead.  It's still one of the more fun conventions that you can go to.  It's small.  You don't
have to do tons of walking.  You can easily find people.  People are generally less stressed out.  The atmosphere is definitely
one of the reasons why people return year after year.  It also gives anime fans and cosplayers in the Los Angeles area
something to do.  There isn't another big event in the Los Angles area for a few months.
