The first anime convention for me this year is Anime Los Angeles.  This was the eighth year for this convention and I've been
attending since the very first one. It has grown into a fairly large convention over the years.  It's one of those conventions that I
pay for my own membership.  Without having to do any required press work, I tend take things at a much slower pace at this
convention.  I think that's the way most people approach this convention.  It's a place to relax and have fun and save the
heavier work for the larger conventions.  It's a less stressful atmosphere.  Over the past few years, I've chosen to spend most of
my time down in the convention's photo studio.  It's the only convention that I go to that has such a room for regular attendees
to use.  I spend my days down there, and when it closes for the day, I pack up my stuff and I'm done shooting for the day unless
somebody asks for anything more.  I was also asked to do one private photo shoot at this convention this year.  It was actually
the first time in eight years that I've been asked to do that.  It's nice to have a new experience at this convention after attending
for so long.
