FanimeCon is my favorite convention of the year. As a Southern California resident, it's always worth it to make the trip up to
Northern California for this convention. It's large enough so that there's plenty to see and do, but small enough so that it's not
overwhelming. This was my fifth visit to this convention and my third as a member of the press. Once again, I was sent to cover
MusicFest and it's always an honor to be able to photograph such incredible talent. When I wasn't busy with that, I was able to
do quite a bit of cosplay photography. This year, I concentrated heavily on private photo sessions. With the exception of the
group in the photo above and one cosplay gathering (and the gathering was covered by request), I didn't take too many general
coverage type cosplay photos. Basically, when I wasn't shooting MusicFest or my scheduled cosplay shoots, the camera was
up in my room while I was out enjoying other aspects of the convention. It was fun to not shoot cosplay all day and find time to
relax and slow down. In the end, I was productive enough with the cosplay photography to feel satisfied. Anyway, enjoy the
cosplay photos. If you didn't make an appointment to shoot with me, you probably won't find yourself here, but I hope you like
what I have for this year.
