In Southern California, smaller anime and cosplay events are very common. Fans are no longer content to wait until the
next convention. On this day, there was a small picnic at Mason Park in Irvine put together by some of the people from
Anime Los Angeles. Over 100 people showed up to this event. I spent most of the day socializing and waiting for the
sun to get a little lower in the sky so it wouldn't be so harsh. I managed to get one photo session done. A lot of
attendees had already left by the time I decided to start shooting.
